Girls in gorgeous outfits, gracefully performing belly dancing, are mesmerizing. The costume plays an important role in staging a spectacular dance. It is quite easy to sew an Arabian costume, consisting, for example, of wide trousers on the hips and an original bodice. The main thing is to be patient.
Instructions
Step 1
For bloomers, prepare 1.5 m of velvet on a knitted basis or stretch velvet 1.5 m wide. These sizes will suit a figure with a hip width of 100 cm and an increase of 170 cm.
Step 2
Fold the fabric in half and cut it to create two identical 75 x 150 cm canvases.
Step 3
Now fold each cut in half widthwise and place one on top of the other on the table.
Step 4
Step back from the fold 10 cm to the side and 20 cm down and connect these points in a semicircle.
Step 5
Cut a semicircle into each of the pieces of fabric. You will have cut-out pant legs.
Step 6
Fold the pant legs together. The folds are the sides of the trousers that will be located on the inside of the legs.
Step 7
Stitch the harem pants around the semicircle you cut out. Tack the sides in several places with threads to leave cuts, sew beads or sequins along the edge of the fabric.
Step 8
Now insert the elastic along the top edge of the trousers, the length of the elastic will be equal to the volume of your hips. In the same way, sew the elastic bands to the bottom edges, their length will be equal to the volume of your lower leg. The harem pants are ready.
Step 9
To create a bodice, take a bra without ruffles and cut off the side and back straps from it, leaving only the cups held together. It is better that they are triangular - this shape visually increases the size of the breast.
Step 10
Take a small piece of the same fabric from which you sewed harem pants and pin it with needles to the bottom of the cup. Wrap the bodice so that the fabric lies flat. Put the excess on top in the dart.
Step 11
Then peel off the fabric from the bodice and sew the dart on the typewriter. Make a blank for another cup in the same way.
Step 12
Gently baste the fabric to the cups, tucking in 0.5-1 cm.
Step 13
Cut the side straps for the bodice at a 45-degree angle, baste them to the places where the straps were. Sew English hooks in the place of the fastener.
Step 14
Pin the brooch on the fabric between the cups. The Arabic costume is ready.
