A box pasted over with paper, with a creative approach, can become a casket, a money box for bills, or just a storage for all sorts of useful little things. It is done simply - from improvised means.

It is necessary

Cardboard (thick paper), newspapers, PVA glue, scotch tape, fabric, iron, brush, ink, ink pad, decoration paper

Instructions

Step 1

All parts of the future box should be cut out of cardboard or thick paper (bottom + 4 walls + lid).

Then you need to glue the side walls to the bottom. The end ones should be glued to

bottom, and to the sides of the box. The inside of the box can be reinforced with masking tape or kraft paper. A lid is attached to the frame: a small piece of fabric is glued to the PVA, connecting

box and lid. All this must be warmed up with an iron. If you attach the fabric from the outside, the lid will lie perfectly flat, but it will be more difficult to open it.

Step 2

You can arrange the box with pieces of newspaper of different sizes. The paper is also glued to PVA:

in this case, the newspaper does not fall apart and does not spread. Pieces of newspaper stick tightly to one another.

You can age the newsprint to make the box look original. This requires any ink, ink pad and brush. It is necessary to darken the edges and corners and a couple of times lightly walk over the entire surface of the "newspaper" box.

Step 3

You can glue the box with paper in another way. First, measure the length of all four sides of the box, and then cut a strip of design paper a little longer and 2 to 4 centimeters wider than the height of the sides. The edges of the strip must be bent along the entire length on both sides so that its width is equal to the height of the box. This strip should be glued over all sides, leaving free edges at the top and bottom. At the corners of the edges, it is necessary to make cuts (cut off the corners). Then the upper strips must be wrapped inside the box and glued to the sides from the back side, and the lower strips must be glued to the bottom. For pasting the box from the inside, you should draw a pattern of the bottom and sides on paper, reducing their height by 2 - 3 millimeters.
