It is not so easy to pick up a gift box in the store: either the size does not fit, the shape, or the design you do not like. In order not to waste time searching, do it yourself a suitable container of any configuration.
It is necessary

Instructions
Step 1
Choose the cardboard from which you will make the box. If you plan to wrap a heavy item in it, choose a dense, stiff material. For lighter gifts, packaging made of ordinary colored cardboard or paper for pastels and watercolors is suitable.
Step 2
The drawing of the pattern for the box will be a sweep of the geometric figure. The choice of shape depends on the shape of the gift. The most versatile will be boxes in the form of a cube, pyramid and cylinder.
Step 3
To make a cube-shaped container, you will need to measure one side of the gift that you will be wrapping. Add 1 to 2 cm to this value and multiply the resulting number by 4. Draw a line of this length on the cardboard. From the top and bottom ends, set aside a number of centimeters equal to 1/4 of the length of the segment. Then connect these sides with a line parallel to the first ray.
Step 4
Divide the resulting rectangle into four equal squares. Draw the exact same shape to the side of the upper one - this is the bottom of the box. Provide in the drawing two valves that will connect the sides of the box into a single whole.
Step 5
Draw the lid of the box separately. Its perimeter should exceed the perimeter of the bottom by 1 cm, also add the required height of the lid rim to the height of each side.
Step 6
Cut out the workpiece and bend along all lines. Lubricate the valves with glue, attach to the inside of the box and press for a few seconds. After the glue dries, the container can be used.
Step 7
A blank for a pyramid-shaped box should consist of three identical triangles connected to each other on the side. At the base of the lid, draw an equilateral triangle that will be 2 mm larger than the width of the box.
Step 8
To make a cylindrical package, draw two circles: one for the bottom of the box and one (3 mm wider) for the lid. The side of the rectangle for the main body of the box is equal to the length of the circle that lies at the base.
Step 9
The finished box can be pasted over with colored paper or covered with paint.
