Step 1
Transfer the selected drawing to the material. You can make a translation in various ways - for example, if you have already come up with a drawing yourself, apply it to the fabric with a special marker, which is subsequently removed from the fabric during washing. Before drawing on material, sketch out a sketch of the drawing on paper so as not to be mistaken.
Step 2
You can also transfer the image to the fabric using transparent tracing paper. Place the tracing paper over the image and copy it, then place the tracing paper on a soft surface and pierce the outline of the image with a needle along the entire perimeter.
Step 3
Move the tracing paper with holes on the fabric and paint over the outline of the drawing with tailor's chalk. Through the holes from the needle, the chalk powder will fall on the fabric, and you will have a new finished outline.
Step 4
Rhinestones can be glued in a variety of ways, and hot-melt rhinestones are extremely common. A special glue is applied to their base, which begins to melt when exposed to heat, so you need an iron to glue such rhinestones.
Step 5
Place paper or foil under the fabric, and set the temperature control of the iron to a gentle mode (wool or silk). If you are sure of the high quality of the purchased rhinestones, you can use the hot steaming mode for gluing.
Step 6
Place the rhinestones along the contour of the pattern in the desired order, cover with a special material for ironing fine fabrics and, lightly pressing them with an iron, hold it for two to three seconds in each place. The duration of the ironing depends on the size of the rhinestones - the larger the rhinestones, the longer the glue needs to be heated.
Step 7
Do not press too hard on the iron, otherwise, the glue will come out along the edges of the rhinestones, and the crystals themselves may crack if they are poorly made. When all the rhinestones are glued, cool the product.
Step 8
When washing items in the future, always turn the item inside out and wash it at a temperature not exceeding 60 degrees. If your rhinestones are coated with mother-of-pearl, the temperature should not exceed 40 degrees. In order for the rhinestones to last longer, it is best to wash the item by hand.
