In the Japanese view, the crane is a bird of happiness that fulfills wishes. According to an ancient Japanese legend, it is believed that if you make a thousand cranes out of paper, your wish will definitely come true. The art of folding paper figures is called origami and has its roots in ancient China. It was after a long time that origami conquered Japan, and it was this country that began to be considered his homeland. Let's make a classic origami crane.
It is necessary
For origami, you need a piece of paper. The main thing is that this paper is strong and soft enough: so that it does not tear, but at the same time folds well
Instructions
Step 1
Take a square piece of paper, fold it in half according to the center lines, and flip it over.
Step 2
Fold the square over two diagonals and flip it over again.
Step 3
Press down on the center of the sheet, bring the four corners together, bending the paper according to the marked lines.
Step 4
The shape you end up with is a basic square shape. During further work, carefully monitor where the non-opening "blind" corner is located.
Step 5
Lay the basic square shape with the "blind" corner up. Bend the two lower sides in front of the center line.
Step 6
Fold the upper triangle down.
Step 7
Bend the bent sides.
Step 8
Pull one layer of paper up, at the same time bending it along the indicated lines. Make sure the two "valleys" become "mountains."
Step 9
If you are doing everything correctly, then at this stage your crane will look like this.
Step 10
Repeat all the previous four steps for the back of the square as well.
Step 11
The basic shape of the crane has been prepared. At the bottom it should have two "legs", at the top - two "wings". Between the "wings" in the middle there is a triangular "hump".
Step 12
Fold the basic shape of the crane with its “legs” down. Bend the lower sides to the center vertical from the front and back.
Step 13
Bend both "legs" up and slightly to the sides.
Step 14
Check the position of the "legs" and lower them down.
Step 15
Bend both "legs" inward along the marked lines.
Step 16
You have the neck and tail of a crane. Bend the head inward on the neck.
Step 17
Lower the wings all the way down and slightly flatten the "hump" of the back between them. This can be done by pulling the wings slightly to the side.
Step 18
Your crane is ready.
