The secret of an artistically executed thing is in a thorough knowledge of the techniques and, of course, the ability to perform them. Knitted fabric can take any shape you want, but for this you need to learn some basic techniques.

How to add loops

It is necessary

  • - knitting needles;
  • - yarn.

Instructions

Step 1

Add loops using the broaches between them. Cast on ten stitches and purl one row. In the next row, first remove the hem, then tie the two front ones. Insert the right knitting needle under the broach between the second and third loops (point towards you) and throw it over the left knitting needle (point from you). Tie this loop with the front one for the back wall, continue the row in the same way to the end (the additions are invisible, without holes, thanks to the twisting of the waist).

Step 2

Make the addition visible: Sometimes the holes in the additions are used to create a pattern and decorate the canvas. Use the technique of adding from the broach, only throwing the broach from the right knitting needle to the left, turn the knitting needle with the tip towards you. Thus, the short part of the broach will not be behind the spoke, as in the first version, but in front. Then knit a loop in the same way behind the back wall. Due to the fact that the back wall has now become long, a hole will remain in the canvas.

Step 3

Master the technique of adding loops with a yarn: make a yarn (turn the tip of the right knitting needle towards you) along the front side of knitting with the required frequency. In the next row, knit the crochet yarn over the back wall, so the crochet loops intersect and do not leave holes in the fabric.

Step 4

Make additions using the loops of the previous row. Perform additions on the front side of knitting: knit four loops from the edge, knit the next one with the front one from the loop located under the next one, then knit the next loop itself. Tie the next row with purl loops in the usual way.

Step 5

Learn to make inconspicuous additions along the edge of the canvas: make a yarn between the edge and the next loop on the front side of the canvas, then between the last loop of the canvas and the last edge. In the next row, purl the yarn over the back wall.

Step 6

Try another way of adding along the edge - knitting the hem loop twice. Knit an edge loop with the front loop behind the back wall, then again with the front loop for the front wall. At the end of the row, tie the hem of the front for the back wall, and again with the purl. In the next row, knit the first hem, as usual, tie the last hem with the front one behind the front wall.
