The traditional Slavic spring doll, or Shrovetide doll, means the end of cold weather and the victory of the sun - warmth, light and kindness. A bright spring doll will warm the house and give joy.
It is necessary
A small bottle or similar container. Slingshot stick. Flap for the head - 20x20 cm. Flap for the skirt - 32x50cm (elegant fabric with a vegetable "spring" pattern). Two squares for the chest (14x14 cm) and two stripes for the sleeves (25x5 cm). Klondike, belt. Threads for fastening. The symbol of the sun (for example, a circle of cardboard lined with yellow material)
Instructions
Step 1
First, you should shape the head and make the chest in the same way. There will be three balls.
The dressing threads should be left long so that later it is convenient to fix the head and chest on the body.
Step 2
Wrap the branches with fabric - these will be the sleeves. The ends of the sticks can be slightly sharpened and painted white (or covered with a light material). The threads that attach the fabric of the sleeves should not be torn off either: they will be needed to "support" the head of the vesicle.
Step 3
The slingshot with sleeves must be inserted into a stable bottle, which will be covered by a skirt on top. You should put on a skirt, pinching it, and fasten it with an overlap at the back.
Then you need to fix the chest. After that, you can put on an apron with a belt on the doll and complement the costume with an elegant scarf.
Step 4
Attach a round sun to the twig arms. It can be tied or looped.
