Instructions
Step 1
Draw the diagram first. Any work with the material begins with her. It is also called a pattern. You can use the one shown here, it is universal. Cutting out the same flags and black decor element is not difficult. On the diagram, you need to indicate the dimensions of the mug for which you are making your case. According to the scheme, blanks are cut out: for the cover - 2, from felt of different colors. For flags - 5. 1 - decorative value.
Step 2
Now stitch the elements together. Start by sewing on the flags - make rough stitches on the outside of the future cover while it is unfolded, and then sew. In our example, they are stitched so that their top side extends slightly beyond the seam. Felt does not unfold, does not need overlapping, this option is quite acceptable. Then you need to sew on the Velcro, after securing it on the narrow fastening part with needles or pins.
Step 3
Now sew the cover. Do not forget that the decorative ornaments should be outside, and the Velcro will not be visible at all. When it is fastened, it should be in the area of the handle, as if inside it. Our cover is ready. Put it on a cup when it is on the shelf or while drinking tea, but then you need to handle it carefully.
