International Historical Festival “Moscow Kingdom. The Seventeenth Century”, included in the“Times and Epochs”program, was held in the Moscow Museum-Reserve“Kolomenskoye”from 6 to 8 July 2012 and was dedicated to the events of the beginning of the 17th century in Russia - the end of the Time of Troubles and the accession of the Romanov dynasty.
The festival lasted only three days, its program included equestrian competitions, Cossack battles, landsknecht tournaments, those who wished could attend master classes in fencing and archery. More than 1200 enthusiasts from Russian and foreign historical clubs took part in the reconstruction of the events of that time. The central event of the festival was the reenactment of the Battle of Moscow in 1612, it was with it that the liberation of the Moscow state from the Polish-Lithuanian intervention began. In the staging, analogs of field fortifications used in the 17th century were used, various types of troops participated - infantry, cavalry, artillery, arrows. This festival is not the first of those held in Kolomenskoye within the framework of the Times and Epochs program, and certainly not the last. So, in 2011 Muscovites and guests of the capital could visit the festival "Ancient Russia with my own eyes". Special tourist programs were provided for the visitors of the festivals, which allowed them to get acquainted with the most interesting events. The duration of the excursion was 1 hour, the cost was 490 rubles.

Typically, these include reenactors who recreate the historically accurate costumes and weapons of the time. During the festival, participants have the opportunity to demonstrate their skill in the use of weapons of the past.
