In order to enjoy most video games, it is not at all necessary to understand what is happening on the screen - for example, in racing simulators and without translation, it is quite clear that you need to go from start to finish. However, with Dirt 2, everything is not so simple: it is quite difficult to understand the rich possibilities of car tuning and a wide range of racing modes, and therefore the Russification of the game is simply necessary.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase the licensed version of the game published in Russia by the Novy Disk company - this guarantees a complete Russian translation: in this edition, all the inscriptions are translated and the dialogues are re-voiced. When installing the game from the CD, select the "Russian version" option, and a product with a built-in localization will be installed on the hard drive. Alternatively, you can download Dirt 2 via Steam, where it is distributed in a similar build.
Step 2
Download the crack with the installer. This is the "softest" way to translate the game. the downloaded mod has a built-in setup.exe file, which will automatically perform the necessary operations as soon as you specify the installation location of the game.
Step 3
Download the archive with the localization files for manual installation. To avoid downloading viruses and unnecessary information, first estimate the size of the downloaded file: translation of the text of the game takes 2, 6 mb; changing voices will increase the volume by about 100 mb. If the file is significantly larger or smaller than the specified values, try to find alternative links.
Step 4
Check the downloaded archive for the readme file. It should contain detailed instructions for installing the translation. If not, try to find it near the download link for the archive (for example, on the fan forum). There may not be a description at all, but do not be upset - the process of Russification consists only in the successive replacement of the game files with the downloaded ones.
Step 5
Open the root directory of the game. Find in it all files and folders that are similar in name to the topics that are in the archive. Back them up - copy them somewhere safe in case the translation fails.
Step 6
Copy the files of the crack into the root directory of the game with a replacement if the names match. Start the game - it should be Russified. If the game refuses to start, replace the files back using the saved backup copy and try to find a different version of the crack.
