Choose shallow water near the grass for catching fry in warm weather, in cold weather - places near dams and their drains.

Small roach and verkhovka should be caught in the upper layers of the water. Having chosen a place, throw a small amount of crackers into the pond and observe the reaction of the fish. Make sure the location is correct to allow the presence of fish.

For harvesting fry on a small river, instead of a bulky lift, it is better to take a trap from a jar made of glass or transparent plastic. Place some food waste in the jar and toss it into the chosen location.

After a short time, use a stick or a rope tied to the neck to pull out the can. A roach is caught in a trap, abandoned in the shallows, and a gudgeon is caught at the end of the roll. If the trap turns out to be on the current, then regardless of the depth, a crucian carp or minnow will fall into it.

Use a metal bucket to catch roach. Take a nail with a hammer and punch several dozen holes in the side walls just above the bottom for a quick water drain.

Place the bucket just below the shore, with the bottom facing upstream or downstream. After a while, the fry will swim into the bucket in search of shelter. When this happens, quickly move the bucket upright.
Step 8
For constant fishing of live bait on a small river, make a bucket from a metal mesh. It will be easy to remove from the water and better stand on the current. Also, throw this trap, with a rope tied to it for pulling out and a piece of bread placed inside, into the pond for catching crucian carp.
