Step 1
First you need to prepare all the tools for creativity. Next, put a blank sheet in front of you. Since you will be painting with watercolors, it is better to take watercolors on paper.

Now you need to choose a picture from which you will sketch the animal. Any photograph of a horse is suitable for these purposes.
Step 3
Since it is very difficult to draw with paints at once, it is better to first sketch on a sheet with a simple pencil: lightly pressing on the pencil draw the horse's head, neck, mane, body, legs, tail. Choose the size of the picture yourself.
Step 4
Next, you need to decide on the color of the horse. Take a medium-thickness brush and watercolors, mix the necessary tones on the palette, for example, if you want the horse to be reddish, then you need to mix brown, orange and yellow paints. To give the horse black, gray and brown colors, mixing paints is unnecessary, in this case it is necessary to adjust the tone by the number of layers applied.
Step 5
So, completely paint over the sketch of the horse with a translucent paint of your chosen shade, then take a darker shade and apply a second layer on the upper part of the animal's head, chest, legs. With a thin brush, make some curved strokes on the back of the neck, forming the mane. Paint over the back, belly, legs and tail of the horse.
Step 6
Now take a dark shade, add a little raspberry or lilac paint to it, mix and paint over the lower part of the muzzle, belly and hind legs of the animal with this shade.
Step 7
Let the drawing dry, then again using dark watercolor paint, paint small strokes on the horse's chest and back, giving the drawing a believable look.
