An open back dress can be romantic, avant-garde or classic. It all depends on the style and fabric from which the outfit is sewn. Having chosen a suitable simple pattern, the dress can be sewn on your own, and it will look no worse than the spectacular outfits from the store.
Even an inexperienced dressmaker can sew a beautiful dress. Choose a fabric that is well draped, not loose. Suitable for cotton jersey, chintz, viscose, crepe de Chine, mixed fabrics based on cotton, linen or silk. The easiest way is to work with plain or finely patterned fabrics that do not require careful alignment of the pattern.
If you chose cotton fabric, iron it through damp gauze before opening. This will protect the finished dress from shrinkage after washing.
Try a simple yet eye-catching outfit for the beach or summer party. Take the necessary measurements. You need the length of the product from waist to floor, the volume of the hips and waist, as well as the distance from the back of the neck to the waist.
First, make a simple pattern. On tracing paper, heavy paper or cardboard, measure the length of the skirt. At the top, set aside a width at the waist equal to your hips plus 3 cm on each side. The bottom of the skirt should be 10 cm wider than the top on each side. Fold the fabric in half along the straight thread. Measure the length of the skirt by adding 4 cm at the hem and 4 cm at the waist. The width of the skirt at the waist should be equal to half the volume of the hips plus 5 cm. To the bottom, the skirt expands by 10-20 cm. On a separate sheet, draw a bodice pattern - a triangle, whose length is equal to the distance from the neck to the waist plus 20 cm, and the width is half the volume waist. Cut out the paper parts and start cutting.
Fold the fabric in half along the straight thread. Cut out 2 pieces of the skirt and 2 pieces of the bodice, adding 2 cm each for the side seams and 4 cm for the hem of the skirt. Fold the skirt with the wrong side out and sweep or pin along the side seam. Leave incisions just above the knee at the bottom. Tuck the top of the skirt up into a drawstring. Sew the seams, pull the elastic into the drawstring.
Seam the triangular bodice at the edges by machine or by hand. Attach them to the belt so that one piece is on top of the other. Sew the details to the skirt. Free edges form strings around the neck. Try on a dress. If you wish, you can decorate it with lace, sequins or a beautiful brooch.

It's even easier to sew a sexy knit dress. You don't even need a pattern to work. Go for a regular sleeveless tank top or a semi-fitted top. Fold a piece of cotton jersey in half along the lobe thread. Spread out the shirt, attach it to the fabric and pin it down. Circle the contours with tailor's chalk, adding a couple of centimeters to the seams. Measure the length of the dress to taste, but the dress looks especially impressive just above the knee. Remember to set aside 4 cm for the hem.
On the back detail, mark a deep oval neckline. Cut a 3 cm wide trim along the contours of the neckline and neckline. Sweep the details of the dress, and then sew them with a knitted seam. Baste the tape along the edges of the cutout, turn it inside out and sew with a blind stitch. Treat the armhole in the same way. Wear the finished dress with a thin strap of a suitable shade.
