Plain elastic bands are usually used to decorate the edges of products. While the product itself is knitted with a patent elastic band. This type of English knitted pattern gives extra volume and splendor to the canvases.
It is necessary
- - yarn;
- - needles number 3 and more.
Instructions
Step 1
Cast on the needles an odd number of loops. Knit the first row (front side of the elastic): one front loop, yarn over, remove one loop with yarn over to the right knitting needle. Work like this to the end of the row.
Step 2
The second row is the wrong side of the elastic. Make one yarn over, remove one stitch, and knit the front yarn together with the stitch as if it were one stitch. Repeat to the end of the row.
Step 3
The third row also fits on the seamy side of the work. To do this, move the loops to the opposite end of the knitting needle and knit further on the third row. With one purl, knit the yarn over with a loop, counting as one loop. Make one yarn over, remove one loop. Continue to the end of the row.
Step 4
Knit the fourth row from the front of the work. Do one yarn over, remove one stitch, purl yarn over with a loop, like one stitch. Continue to the end of the row.
Step 5
The fifth row is knit again from the front side. Move the stitches to the other end of the knitting needle. Knit one crochet with a loop. Make one yarn over and remove one loop with the yarn over. And so on until the end of the row. Sixth row and beyond - repeat the pattern starting from the second row.
