You can crochet not only graceful openwork napkins and light embossed outfits. With a certain skill, the needlewoman will be able to perform with this technique the things that are usually done on knitting needles: socks, booties, gloves, and so on. The skillful combination of different loops even allows you to create a canvas that looks like an elastic band. To do this, it is necessary to use embossed columns (front, or convex and purl, or concave), as well as a half-column with a crochet (durable).
It is necessary
- - hook;
- - a thread.
Instructions
Step 1
Make a chain of the required number of air loops according to the pattern of the future model. To the resulting number of links (it must be a multiple of two), add one additional loop (it is needed for the symmetry of the pattern) and two extreme loops. For example: 16 + 1 + 2 = 19 chain stitches.
Step 2
Do one row of simple single crochets, then pull out three lifting air loops for the first raised stitch. Next, the work must be turned over.
Step 3
Try knitting a raised elastic. To do this, make a yarn over and pass the hook (making a movement from right to left) into the very "body" of the second underneath single crochet.
Step 4
Raise the post a little and (wrapping it around the shaft of the working tool) grab the thread. Pull out the loop and knit it like a crochet. The first embossed column (convex, front) is ready.
Step 5
Knit a purl stitch (concave) by inserting the crochet hook under the stitch of the previous row in the opposite direction - from left to right. Then follow the pattern.
Step 6
Make regular alternations of the front and back embossed columns in any sequence: one front and one back (1x1); two front and two purl (2x2); one front and two purl (1x2), etc. The appearance of the elastic will depend on the combination of loops.
Step 7
Having tied a raised elastic band of the required height, finish it with an edge row of single crochet posts.
Step 8
Practice knitting a horizontal raised elastic. It is created by sequentially alternating rows of front embossed single crochets and strong columns (in the first row - single crochet; in the second - front embossed single crochet; in the third - strong columns; then the second and third rows are repeated). In an upright position, the appearance of such knitting is especially close to an elastic knitted fabric.
