Using the brioche technique, you can knit almost any pattern, including bumps. The elements made of yarn of two colors look unusual and original. If you use pastel yarn, you get a delicate and romantic canvas. From yarn of bright, contrasting colors, the product will be extravagant.

Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the location of the bumps on the canvas. It can all be covered with volumetric elements, or it can be decorated with an ornament of individual colored knots. Tie several rows using the brioche technique. Their number does not matter, the bumps can be located in any odd row.
Step 2
You can start knitting bumps from the second loop of the row, or make a small indent from the edge.
Step 3
Bumps fit simply. Several loops are knitted from one loop at once. There are nine of them in the sample. For a set of new loops, you need to alternate the usual loop and yarns.
The knitting principle is the same as that of a one-color fabric. Do not tighten the thread too much, otherwise it will be difficult to thread the second knitting needle into the new loops in the next row.
Unfortunately, the brioche technique does not allow you to make a canvas with bumps from several rows of purl loops.
Step 4
There should be at least three loops between the bumps, two of them purl and one front.
Step 5
In the next row, all new loops (there are 9 in the sample) are knitted together. A volumetric element is formed.
Step 6
Tie three rows, repeat step 3.
Step 7
The bumps should be staggered on the canvas, which is why you need to knit two purl loops and one front loop between them. The second side of the canvas is smooth. In some products, bumps can be on both sides. For example, a scarf or stole.
