People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Korenev currently personifies national cinema. In addition to acting, "Ichthyander" today is successfully directing and teaching at a theater university.
The key character Ichthyander from the legendary film "Amphibian Man" will forever be remembered by domestic viewers of the middle and older generations. Currently, the People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Borisovich Korenev is a true legend of our cinema.
Short biography of Vladimir Korenev
The future idol of millions of Soviet and Russian moviegoers was born on June 20, 1940 in Sevastopol in a family of military intelligentsia. Due to the fact that his father was a rear admiral of the fleet, Vladimir spent his childhood in constant travel. The young man graduated from high school in Tallinn, where he seriously plunged into the theatrical environment. And therefore, entering a specialized drama club was deliberate. Here Korenev received the basics of theatrical art from Ivan Rossomakhin, and at the age of twenty he continued his education at the capital's GITIS on a course with Androvsky.
In 1961, Vladimir managed to enter the troupe of the Moscow Drama Theater. KS Stanislavsky and is still part of it. In 1998, the talented actor was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia. Behind him dozens of successful roles on his native stage. I would especially like to note Korenev's participation in the productions of "Bourgeois Nobleman", "Heart of a Dog", "Cunning and Love", "Talents and Admirers", where he revealed himself most brilliantly.
Despite the fact that Vladimir Borisovich still considers himself primarily a theater artist, it was cinema that brought him real fame. But not only the cult film "Amphibian Man" (1962) with 65 million spectators' interest and the international prize "Silver Sail" adorns the list of the artist's talented films today. The films “Sons of the Fatherland”, “Children of Don Quixote”, “Light of a Distant Star” and others also deserve special interest.
Like many talented actors of the older generation, Vladimir's creative life was divided into two eras: Soviet and Russian. In the modern history of the domestic film industry, Korenev was noted for memorable roles in the films: Children of the Arbat, Destructive Force-5, The Blind, Detectives of the District Scale, and The Last Confession.
Today, the eminent artist continues to play in the theater and act in films. In addition, he is engaged in teaching as the head of the department of acting at the Institute of Humanities Education and Information Technology (Faculty of Theater Arts), and also directs graduation performances by graduates of this university.
Personal life of the artist
The family life of the famous artist deserves special pride. Living in a single marriage with Alla Konstantinova since 1961, Vladimir Korenev valiantly passed the test of fame. Today the whole family: Vladimir, Alla and Irina (daughter), work in the same theater and are never separated.
However, the family idyll, according to the press, was still under threat during a short-term office romance with Margarita Nazarova during the filming of the film "Striped Flight". In addition, the country witnessed the drama unfolding in the TV show “Let They Talk” with Andrei Malakhov in 2016, when a certain Natalya Ivanova allegedly gave birth to his daughter Eugene as a result of an intimate relationship that took place in the “sixties” at one of the recreation centers near Moscow.
