Often at weddings, anniversaries, other celebrations and events, large groups of people have to be photographed. To successfully cope with this task, you need to follow some rules.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose the right lighting. Make sure that people's faces are well lit, but the light is not too bright, otherwise you will get harsh black shadows. If you have to photograph on a sunny day, try to avoid people squinting or casting shadows on each other. Do not take pictures against the background of a window or against the light - the faces will turn out too dark.
Step 2
Line up people. Try to avoid straight lines and lines, it is better to put people in a semicircle or choose some other shape, depending on the idea of the picture.
Step 3
Remember that all faces must be clearly visible in the photo, so if the group of people is too large, place them in rows in height or use higher ground, for example, steps of a staircase. Make sure that those who are at the edges do not fall into the distortion zone.
Step 4
Ask people to stand as close to each other as possible so that there are no gaps between their shoulders. Try to make sure that a person is not too short or too tall. But you should not line up people in height, as in a physical education lesson. It is better that the people standing nearby were of approximately the same height and, in general, there were no sharp "dips" or "elevations".
Step 5
Take as many shots as possible so that later you can choose the most successful ones. Before taking pictures, draw people's attention, as they cannot stand absolutely static for too long and look into the lens.
Step 6
Find the right background and get rid of photographic debris. Make sure that no distracting objects or people get into the frame.
