If you know how to draw an ordinary flower, then depicting a plant planted in a pot will not be difficult for you. This drawing can serve as a wonderful design for a postcard, or act as your author's work.
It is necessary
A sheet of paper, a pencil, an eraser, materials for work in color
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the materials you need for the job. Decide whether you will draw from life, from a photograph, or create a fantastic plant. Depending on how you imagine your drawing - place the sheet of paper vertically or horizontally. Use a simple pencil to sketch lightly.
Step 2
Use general strokes to mark the location of the pot and plant. To clarify the details, start with the pot. Draw a thin vertical line with a pencil, limit it above and below with light horizontal strokes. This is how you marked the height of the container for the plant. If you have already decided on the type of pot, then start drawing from its bottom. From the bottom point of the horizontal line, draw two lines of equal length to the sides. This is the length of the bottom. Then build an oval (the very bottom). Do the same operation at the top of the pot. Moreover, in the future, the lower oval will be wider than the upper one.
Step 3
Connect the side points of the oval. The result is a truncated inverted cone. You can immediately add an upper rim to the pot, which will decorate it. Sketch out the details of the flower. Draw a line of the stem, sketch out the leaves with “drops”, mark the flower (or flowers) around. Then start refining the drawing of the plant. Draw petals in the flower, give each leaf a direction. Leaves and stems can hang over the edge of the pot, which will look beautiful. You can also draw a cactus in a pot. First sketch out its "body", and then draw the "ribs", needles, flower.
Step 4
Erase unnecessary (invisible) lines with the eraser. Make a clarifying drawing (lines on the leaves, stamens). Draw a shadow of its own and falling, a highlight on the pot. Start drawing in color. Fill the sheet with color, starting from the background. Then mark the primary colors with large spots. Then add the color gradually, you can mix it right in the picture (it all depends on the material). Wait until it dries and emphasize the foreground - a subtle shadow between the bottom of the pot and the surface where it stands, the leaves of the plant.
