Polymer clay is intended for modeling various small-sized products. This plastic material is actively used for the manufacture of dolls, souvenir sculptures, flower arrangements, bijouterie and other decorative items. You can use polymer clay several times if you follow the storage rules.
It is necessary
- - food foil;
- - sealed container;
- - plastic or plastic bag.
Instructions
Step 1
Store polymer clay in a cool place. Exclude direct sunlight from falling on the clay, as under their influence the material begins to crumble and gradually turns into stone, unsuitable for further use.
Step 2
Store the polymer clay remaining after the manufacture of the product in special conditions - without the possibility of contact of the material with air. Pack the clay in a plastic bag, place in an airtight jar with a tight lid, or wrap it in cling foil.
Step 3
Avoid contact of clay with foam surfaces, as well as with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and polystyrene, as plastic can react with these substances and soften.
Step 4
Do not wrap polymer clay in paper, as it will harden over time due to the paper's ability to absorb plasticizer.
Step 5
Remaining after work "sausages", the so-called kane, put in a plastic bag, previously wrapped in aluminum foil, and place in the refrigerator. And as soon as you need them for work, take them out of the refrigerator and cut the required amount of plastics.
