The coarse and fine mesh allows you to create lush ballet tutus and festive girly dresses, beach bags, as well as other accessories and clothing details. Mesh lining is especially popular with seamstresses, as it has a rigid structure and well fixes the shape of the upper parts of the cut. When working with this material, some difficulties arise, which can be overcome with the help of some tailor's tricks. Try to sew a petticoat from a mesh with a cotton cover and a tulle top.

Instructions
Step 1
Cut the mesh out with regular tailoring scissors - the edges of dense and stiff fabric will not crumble. For a fluffy lining, you will need a wide rectangular strip; its length is the waist circumference multiplied by 3. You can make a petticoat not from one, but 2-3 layers of stripes.
Step 2
Fold neat folds into equal sections of the mesh and baste them by hand. Connecting seams can be sewn and then sewn off the face with a zigzag or decorative stitch.
Step 3
If your sewing machine is not good at sewing mesh, try some tailoring methods:
- Place a tissue or a strip of thin toilet paper under the seam and overlock the sections. At the end of the work, moisten the mesh in hot water and remove the remaining paper with a needle;
- process the bottom of the mesh with a knitted or satin bias tape or stitch a decorative braid along the edge line;
- if you used a coarse mesh, then for ease of processing the sections on a sewing machine, you can use a cobweb tape;
- a worthy alternative to a functional (but not too elegant) glue material - nylon lace, laid between the cut details and the facing.
Step 4
Sew your petticoat petticoat out of plain cotton, otherwise the stiff mesh will leave puffs on your pantyhose and may scratch your skin. Leave a 2 cm allowance on top of the cover - this hem will serve as a belt for the skirt.
Step 5
If you managed to sew a mesh petticoat, duplicate the cut detail from thin tulle and follow the pattern for the upper tier of the fluffy skirt.
Step 6
Connect the pieces with pins and sew. You just need to sew on the cover and iron its top edge inward. Finish the hem and insert a wide elastic band into the waistband. You can pre-sew a satin ribbon to the elastic, release its ends in the center of the belt and tie it with a beautiful bow.
