An eco bag is an indispensable item when shopping for groceries. No sharp corner of the package will tear it from top to bottom, as is often the case with plastic bags.

Let's not pollute our nature with unnecessary waste, and also let's not spend a lot of money on purchasing plastic bags that are offered to us from supermarkets. It is better to spend these hundreds of rubles on a more useful business. By the way, it is very convenient to carry such a net with you in your small women's bag, just in case.

This style has been popular for a long time and for good reason, because such a bag is not only very easy to sew, but also convenient to use.

We build a pattern: the pattern is simple rectangles of different sizes - two identical rectangles are halves of a bag (you can cut one large rectangle with a fold) and two rectangles for handles. The approximate dimensions of the bag pattern can be 45 by 35 cm, handles 5 by 30 cm.

Helpful hint: if you did not have a similar bag, but you had the usual plastic bags, the sizes of which suit you, just measure them and resize the pattern to fit.

Choosing a fabric: such a bag can be sewn from linen, jeans, and tapestry, artificial leather. A fabric from an old umbrella is also great.

Attention! If you are sewing a shopping bag for the first time, it is better to first draw a pattern on paper, attach pens to it and imagine how convenient the sizes indicated on the pattern will be for you. Resize patterns to suit your tastes!

We sew the simplest shopping bag: fold the two halves of the bag right side to each other and sew the bottom and sides on a typewriter. Sew the edge of the seam with a zig-zag stitch. Then fold over the top edge of the bag. Sew the handles. To do this, fold the blank for each strap along and stitch along the edge (the handles will be more durable if you put another strip of edging, artificial leather, ribbons that are sold for this purpose in stores for needlewomen in them). Sew the handles to the bag.

Decorate your eco-mesh bag with embroidery, applique or any other technique that you know.
