It is necessary

  • - clay;
  • - gypsum or plasticine;
  • - drawing for stucco molding.

Instructions

Step 1

Think carefully before you start making stucco in your own apartment. This process is very dusty and requires careful cleaning afterwards. The best option would be to use separate rooms, such as a garage, shed or equipped workshop.

To make the stucco molding look perfect and really decorate the interior of your home, you need to scrupulously treat the process of making molds.

The most suitable materials for making stucco molds are clay and gypsum. Clay can also be replaced with plasticine.

Step 2

Find verified blueprints for making stucco. It is best if the author of the drawings is an architect or an artist, since the quality of the form depends on their accuracy, and, consequently, the quality of the original product, which will later serve as an interior decoration.

Step 3

Take the clay and make the original stucco model from it. This must be done in strict accordance with the drawings. Otherwise, you will be disappointed at the end of the job. Let the original mold dry.

Step 4

Wet the clay surface of the original mold. This is necessary so that the gypsum and clay do not stick together, and you can easily extract the original shape.

Step 5

Prepare a plaster mortar. Its consistency should resemble sour cream. Apply the solution to a clay mold. Do this with your hands or with a plastering spatula. The thickness of the plaster layer should be sufficient for your molding mold to withstand the removal of several items.

Step 6

Wait for the plaster to dry. Get out the clay. If it does not get whole, then make small chips. If your original shape was made of plasticine, then you can gently scrape it out.

Your stucco mold is ready. Start casting the stucco molding immediately, as the shape may deform over time. Before each use, coat the inside of the mold with varnish and then grease. Then the finished product will be delivered without difficulty.
