To create your own mold, you can use a silicone compound. This substance perfectly retains its acquired shape, it can be heated, cooled and used for a long time. The model can be molded from plasticine or taken ready-made (coin, pine cone, toy, etc.) Such molds for pouring can be used, for example, for making handmade soap or casting various figures from plaster.

Instructions
Step 1
Take a tissue and alcohol and wipe the surface of your model so that no dirt, grease, dust remains.
Step 2
Stir the silicone base thoroughly before mixing to make the material homogeneous. Shake the catalyst also.
Step 3
Calculate the correct amount of base and catalyst based on the size of your model.
The base is 100 parts by weight, the catalyst is 3.5-5 parts by weight. The more catalyst, the faster the setting occurs.
Step 4
Mix the ingredients manually or mechanically for 5-7 minutes in a clean plastic container. The catalyst must completely dissolve in the silicone base.
Step 5
Place the model in the mass so that it does not sink and reach the bottom.
If the model is heavy, fix it with clay on the bottom of a plastic container and pour the prepared mass on top.
Step 6
After 24 hours, after fully curing, remove the model from the mold. If necessary, cut off the top layer of the mass.
