Molds can be needed in a variety of situations. Children simply cannot live without them - how else to bake cakes from sand? The hostess needs molds for all kinds of baking. They, of course, can be bought in the store, but on sale it is not always possible to find what you need exactly at the moment. Molds can be made by hand, and the material for them is always at hand.

It is necessary

  • - aluminum can;
  • - plastic bottles;
  • - ruler;
  • - metal crochet hook or knitting needle;
  • - sandpaper;
  • - ball pen;
  • - scissors;
  • - stapler;
  • - a sharp knife;
  • - tracing paper or other transparent paper;
  • - a computer with any graphic editor;
  • - Printer.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose plastic bottles for toy molds. They can be of very different shapes. It is very good if there are baby shampoo bottles in the form of symmetrical animal figures. Draw a line of symmetry. It is best to do this with a ballpoint pen, but you can also scratch. Make sure it crosses the entire figure.

Step 2

Use scissors or a sharp knife to cut the bottle along the marked line. If there are any extra parts, such as the "spout" through which the shampoo is poured, cut them off as well. Sand the edges to remove any burrs. You can get two molds at once.

Step 3

Such molds for sand can be made from asymmetrical bottles and curly jars. Choose the most expressive and convex area (for example, an animal's face). Step back a few centimeters from the marking line and draw another line. Cut the bottle over it. Thus, you can give a second life to broken plastic toys.

Step 4

It's okay if you only have round and rectangular bottles on hand. Step back from the bottom 3-4 centimeters and draw a line around the entire perimeter. It should be parallel to the bottom. Cut the bottle along this line. You have got a mold and "production waste". If this second part has a neck, with one movement of scissors it turns into a scoop. Cut the bottle 5-6 centimeters below the neck again. Shape it into a scoop. The neck will be the handle, and the spatula will be shaped depending on the shape of the bottle.

Step 5

Make cookie cutters from heat-resistant material. For this, an aluminum can of beer or any other drink will do. Canned food cans are fine, but they are not very convenient because the strip you need will be too short. Wash the jar well, cut off the bottom and top. Cut it along the seam to make a rectangle. It is desirable that its edges are even, so cut the bottom off carefully with a sharp knife or scissors.

Step 6

Straighten the sheet and mark its strips 1-1.5 cm wide. The stripes should be parallel to the long side of the rectangle. You can draw lines with a ballpoint pen or scratch with a knitting needle. Tie a couple of such strips together. The size of the mold depends on whether you are going to bake a large crust or a small cookie. It is most convenient to fasten with the most common stapler.

Step 7

Find a suitable picture with an animal figurine, an image of an asterisk, etc. Process it so that you get one silhouette. Resize and print. It is best to make a pattern from thick, but thin cardboard. Cut out the figurine.

Step 8

Place the mold on the table. Attach the strip to it with the end and begin to bend it along the contour of the figure. This is done by hand, without any tools. In this way, circle the entire contour, trying to form the corners as accurately as possible. Fasten the ends of the strip with a stapler. Cut off the excess or fold it again along the same contour and attach it to the first layer with a paper clip.
