Instructions
Step 1
Draw the simplest type of arch, a horseshoe. To do this, draw a semicircle at the top of the sheet. Continue the ends of the semicircle down with straight vertical lines, slightly converging inside the arch.
Step 2
Draw a "creeping" arch. Draw two vertical lines, parallel and some distance apart. One line should be significantly higher than the second. Connect the upper points of the vertical lines with an uneven asymmetrical arc.
Step 3
Draw a "keeled" arch. Sketch the rectangle. Select the lower parts of the side walls of the shape more clearly. The strokes must be the same height. Draw a horizontal line through the upper points. Divide it into three parts by two dots. At each point, put a leg of a compass and draw circles with a diameter equal to the distance from the point to the nearest wall. Highlight the parts of the circles that continue the walls and rise up. Now connect the boundary points of the selected parts of the circles with a pointed triangle with sides concave inward.
Step 4
Draw a three-bladed arch. To do this, depict the side walls, in which the lower parts are vertical even strokes, and the upper parts are slightly bent into the middle of the arch, very smoothly. Connect the ends of the walls with a triangle with convex sides. Please note that almost all arches are strictly symmetrical.
Step 5
Draw a multi-blade arch. Draw a vertical centerline. Draw a circle at the top with the edges severed at the bottom. From these edges on a downward slant, draw semicircles, symmetrically about the axis. Continue the walls of the lower figures with vertical straight lines directed downward.
Step 6
Draw a semicircular arch. To do this, draw a horseshoe-shaped arch, only with the walls running parallel to each other.
