In Japan, the lizard is an animal that guards dreams and the dark side of the human soul. All this is due to the fact that the lizard prefers to hide in shady places during the daytime. The lizard is also considered by some to be a symbol of rebirth due to its ability to regenerate a discarded tail. Therefore, the Japanese, in their national art of origami, tried to create this animal from paper.
How to make a paper lizard?
To make a lizard out of paper, you need a sheet of paper 30 centimeters in size. It is best to take not a white sheet of paper, but a greenish or sandy color. You will also need a ruler and pencil.
1. Take a piece of paper and mark the square in the center. Next, bend all four corners in turn to the center of the square and iron the folds well with a ruler.
2. Draw the midlines of the left and right triangles. Bend the triangles along these lines to the diagonal line of the square.
3. Flip the shape right side down.
4. Fold the bottom up and iron the folds again with a ruler.
5. Turn the part right side up.
6. Bend the left and right lower corners to the bisector of the entire triangle.
7. Turn the part over again. The front side should be at the bottom.
8. Now you need to make a rectangle. To do this, lay out the bottom of our workpiece.
9. Return the face of the part to its original position and rotate it approximately 180 degrees.
10. Bend the lizard blank in half along a horizontal line.
11. Bend the right side down to make the lizard's tail.
12. Bend the corners that are on the side of the workpiece up.
13. On the tail of the lizard, make a small fold of about 1 centimeter and rotate the entire piece 90 degrees clockwise.
14. Along the line shown in the figure, bend the torso part.
15. Unfold the lizard's tail and bend the left and right sides towards the middle.
16. Bend the resulting workpiece in half. The lizard is ready.
