Many are faced with the problem of decorating gifts. But how can you arrange them quickly and cheaply? The ideal solution would be a homemade bow on a fork, which will take a few minutes to make.
For a beautiful bow, we only need a fork and ribbon.
Creating a classic bow
Necessary:
- fork;
- tape;
- matches;
- scissors.
Put one end of the tape on a fork, holding it with your thumb. We circle the tape around the fork and push the other end into the middle hole under the bow, pull it up a little, bring this tip into the middle hole above the bow. We put the second tip under the first, and, as if wrapping it, insert it under the ribbon and tighten the resulting knot well. And then all that remains is to remove the bow from the fork, properly straighten and cut the ends. For aesthetic beauty, you need to light a match and set the tip on fire so that it does not delaminate.
Making a double bow
Necessary:
- fork;
- tape;
- a tape that is 2 times longer than the first;
- matches;
- scissors.
We fix the large tape behind the fork, holding the tip with your thumb and forefinger. Next, we wrap the fork with a "snake" of ribbons so that from the front you can see how it wraps around the second and fourth cloves. Now you need to unfold the tape and continue to alternately go behind the fork teeth, but in the other direction, so that the second and fourth teeth are embraced from the back. As a result, we should get 5 such rows. The next step is to take the second ribbon. We push one end into the middle hole from under the bottom, and the second from above. We tie a tight knot. After making sure that the knot is strong, you must remove the bow from the fork. Cut off the ends. Well, for a better look, we singe the ends. Done!
In the picture you can see how the first and second bows look in the end.
If you want to make an original and memorable decor, then look for ribbons with patterns in stores, and for the most daring I recommend finding fine carved lace and folding it according to these patterns.
If you want your bows to turn out to be larger, then try using … instead of a fork … a hand. It will not be convenient to practice on your own, so you will need the help of a friend.
However, small bows can be used not only as a decoration for gifts, but also, for example, clothes for dolls. Real needlewomen are even able to sew a full dress out of them.
