Step 1

To tune your guitar with a tuning fork, you must first tune the first string. The first string in the tuned state emits the note "Mi" of the 2nd octave. To tune it, you need to hold down the string at the 5th fret and, twisting the pegs (they determine the tension of the string), make sure that its sound matches the sound of the tuning fork. When twisting, you must be careful not to overtighten the strings or make sudden movements, otherwise the strings may break. You do not need a tuning fork to tune the other strings.

Step 2

The second string in the tuned state emits the note "B" of the 1st octave. To tune the second string, hold it down at the 5th fret and get the same sound as the first.

Step 3

The third string, when properly tuned, emits a 1-octave G note. In order to tune the third string to the correct sound, it is necessary to hold it at the fourth fret and achieve the same sound with the second.

Step 4

The sound of the fourth string is consonant with the note "D" of the 1st octave. When tuning the fourth string, it is necessary to achieve the same sound with the third, for this it is usually enough to hold it on the fifth fret and compare the sound of the two strings - it should be identical and merge into one sound at the same time.

Step 5

The fifth string in the tuned state emits the note "A" of a small octave and sounds in unison with the fourth string. The fifth string should be clamped at the fifth fret and tune its sound in full analogy with the fourth.

Step 6

And, finally, the sixth string, in a perfectly tuned state, emits the note "Mi" of a small octave. To tune the last sixth string, gently tune it at the 5th fret to match the fifth string.
