The emergence of special computer programs has significantly changed the method of teaching to play musical instruments. First of all, because computer programs allow you to immediately put into practice any theoretical construction. Accordingly, the theory is memorized easily and quickly. There are several programs for learning to play the guitar. The most popular is Guitar Pro. But others have also been developed - for example, Guitar Instructor or TuxGuitar.
It is necessary
- - guitar;
- - computer with Guitar Instructor or Guitar Pro programs
Instructions
Step 1
Install the software. Guitar Instructor is distributed as free software, Guitar Pro is a licensed program, but there are also demo versions. Guitar Instructor takes up little space, moreover, to install it, you just need to run the file with the exe extension. True, there is no chord builder in it, but it does have chord progressions, which is not in Guitar Pro. Both have a built-in tuner and metronome, as do chord and scale guides.
Step 2
Open the Guitar Instructor program. Take a look at the main menu. There you will see five sections - Chords, Chord Progressions, Scales, Tuner, Metronome. Check out each of them. In the first one, you will find over six hundred standard and bass modified chords. They are presented as tablatures. Learn to read them. Please note that the rulers on the tablatures are not five, as in the usual musical notation, but six. The thickest, she is the sixth, is drawn below. Each colored dot corresponds to the position of the finger on a particular string. Learn the Latin notation for notes, this is necessary for reading chords.
Step 3
Tune the instrument. Use the built-in tuner for this. In a six-string guitar, the first string is tuned in unison with the E sound of the first octave. In the Latin notation, this will be E. Tune the remaining strings to the same tuner or in the standard way, clamping the second string at the fifth fret, the third at the fourth, and the rest at the fifth again. They should sound in unison with the previous ones open. The built-in tuner gives you standard tuning.
Step 4
Select the key you want from the list of standard chords. You will see a list of possible options for the given consonance, and you need to determine the position. Check the option you want. Some strings are marked with a cross. It can stand either over the 6th string or to the side of the fretboard. If the cross is on top, this means that you do not need to touch the sixth string. An icon next to a string indicates that it remains open while playing that chord. For each chord, you can get more information. The corresponding button is at the bottom. There you will learn the type of consonance, in which keys it is used.
Step 5
With your finger in the desired position, slide your right hand over the strings. All chord sounds should sound crisp, clear, and even. There should be no rattling, dull sound and other defects. If there are any, correct the position of the left hand. It is necessary that all strings are clamped equally tightly, but the hand remains free.
Step 6
Learn the chord progressions. This can be done in the second section, "Chord Progressions". Here you will see the chord progressions. You won't need this in the first step, but later on when you start picking up songs it can come in very handy. In any case, you will not need to calculate each chord separately. The sequences of consonances are built according to certain rules, and this section gives an idea of them. You should start playing the sequences after you learn to play chords with confidence.
Step 7
Study the fretboard in parallel with mastering the chords. The guitar is such an instrument on which every sound can be played on several strings and several frets. You already ran into this when studying chords. Try going to scales. The Scales section is built on the same principle as the previous ones. Choose a scale, then familiarize yourself with it in more detail. Learn one of the most popular scales - at least A minor or C major. Play it until you have mastered the major and minor pattern and fingering. It is better to start playing from the bottom up, then vice versa, using the same fingering.
Step 8
Try playing chord progressions and lead chords at the desired tempo. This feature is provided by the built-in metronome. In the window, put down the desired number of beats per minute and click on the Start button. Beats of the measure will appear at the bottom of the window, and you will hear the set rhythm. The size is set in the "File" menu.
