The planter not only allows you to unload the space by hanging pots with flowers on the window or on the wall, but also decorates the interior. A beautiful and original planter can be made with your own hands from what can be found on the farm.
It is necessary
- - shards of porcelain or stoneware;
- - glue for porcelain;
- - flower pot;
- - grout for tiles;
- - putty knife;
- - wet sponge;
- - any strong rope or cord;
- - a small metal ring;
- - plastic bottle.
Instructions
Step 1
For a mosaic planter, glue small pieces of porcelain or ceramic dishes to an ordinary flower pot and leave the blank to dry completely. Prepare the grout according to the instructions on the package and apply it with a spatula into the gaps between the elements glued to the pot. Smooth out the grout and leave to dry.
Step 2
Use a damp sponge to wipe the pot, removing excess grout. Wet the sponge periodically. Leave the planter to dry. In a day, your favorite plant can be planted in the product.
Step 3
For a wicker planter, cut about 90 cm from the string (for a medium-sized pot). Cut this segment into 6 more equal parts. Pull one of the segments through the metal ring, align the ends and tie a knot at a distance of 3 cm from the ring. Pull all of the pieces of rope through the ring in the same way.
Step 4
Now determine how far from the knots the pot will be. Tie another knot at this mark on each piece of rope. Try to make the "bottom" knots at the same distance.
Step 5
Divide the strands into even (slide them to the right of the ring) and odd (to the left of the ring). Divide each thread mentally into several levels and tie the knots that define these levels. Now, starting from the lower level, weave the threads of each segment selected by the nodes with the adjacent ones. If you are having trouble making knots, use clamps or other rope to secure the braid. Thus, you need to connect the threads of each segment with the neighboring ones.
Step 6
Place an empty pot in a planter and determine exactly where, at what level its bottom will be. Take out the pot and tie all loose ends of the threads in one knot at the bottom of the pot. If you plan to plant a small plant that will stretch up, do not tighten the knot, but leave it loose enough. Place the pot in the planter again and check to see if any of the nodes need to be tweaked. The planter can then be used.
Step 7
Make the simplest planter out of a plastic bottle of the right size. Cut the bottom of the bottle to fit the height of the pot, make holes for the rope, insert the ropes, and tie the ends. The planter is ready in 5 minutes!
