Artificial flowers are more durable than live, cut or potted flowers, however, depending on the technique and material, they may be devoid of natural sophistication and some subtle details: stamens, pistils, etc. But some tricks allow you to bring artificial flowers as close as possible to living ones.

Step 1
You can make artificial flowers from plastic bottles. To do this, you need to choose the type of flowers (roses, jasmine, orchids) and cut the petals out of the plastic in the shape of the original. Use several shades of acrylic paint on each petal to add color. The stem is made of thick wire wrapped with floral tape, stamens, depending on the thickness, of thin dyed wire, wool, fishing line or other materials. Leaves can also be made from plastic by painting it in different shades of green. To create bends before painting, hold the plastic parts over a fire to soften them. You can even give this flower a scent if a piece of cotton wool soaked in essential oil is glued to the middle.
Step 2
Artificial flowers made of beads look almost like real ones. To add volume and stability to their shape, they are woven on a thin wire; a needle is not needed in the weaving. The most common technique for weaving petals is mosaic. For greater effect, you can vary the shades of the petals from dark in the middle to fawn at the edges. The stem can be made of wire wrapped with a floral ribbon or braided with beads using the tight bundle technique. If you use beads of different shades for braiding, you get a very interesting relief. The leaves are woven almost on the same principle as the petals, only the shape changes.
Step 3
If you want to add a scent to a beaded flower, first check the color fastness by holding a sample of beads in mayonnaise or vinegar for several hours. If the color of the beads changes, please refrain. Essential oils are chemically active essences, sooner or later even the most persistent dyes will change color under its influence.
