Instructions
Step 1
We cut out only one heart-shaped blank from the design cardboard. This will be the bottom of the future box. The second blank (for the lid) needs to be cut a little more than the first - by about a couple of millimeters. This is done so that the lid can close our box and freely enter it.
Step 2
Cut 4 long strips in the form of long rectangles from the same design cardboard. These strips will serve as sides - two strips at the box itself, and two at the lid.
The width of the strip will be the width of the gift box. Therefore, you yourself adjust the required size of the strips so that your gift fits easily into the box and the lid closes freely.
We draw teeth to one of the sides of each strip, with the help of which the gluing will take place in the future.
Step 3
Let's start gluing. Glue two strips, teeth down, to the lid, and two to the box itself.
Step 4
After gluing, the box is ready. By itself, designer cardboard has a very beautiful and festive look, so you no longer need to glue it over. But inside the box, you will see teeth from gluing. To avoid this, we glue the inner bottom of the box with colored paper. It is advisable that it matches the design cardboard or is paler.
Step 5
The most interesting job is decorating the box lid. So that it is not boring, we glue a satin ribbon and tie a bow, or glue a beautiful braid, or you can take beads, rhinestones, etc. It remains only to dream up and our box is finished.
