The future theater and film star was born in Lithuania in the winter of 1963. Her father was a diplomat, and her mother worked at a meteorological station.
The family lived apart most of the time. Parents worked in the capital, and their daughter came to them only on vacation. The upbringing of the girl was mainly done by her grandparents. She was also given a lot of time by her aunt and uncle, who worked as musicians in the theater orchestra.
Ingeborga often visited the theater, where her relatives brought her. They instilled in her a love of music and stage. Although she did not like her debut performance on stage.
When the girl was four years old, she performed a small role in the opera "Cio-Cio-san". All that was required of the girl was to go on stage in one of the episodes and this did not arouse any interest in the child. Theatrical career
After receiving her secondary education, Dapkunaite entered the Lithuanian Conservatory, the department of arts. After graduating, she began looking for work in the theater. Soon she was accepted into the troupe of the drama theater in Kaunas. The talented girl was able to quickly become one of the leading actresses of the stage, playing the main roles in many performances.
A year later, Dapkunaite changed her job and began performing on the stage of the Youth Theater. There, she again quickly won the love of the audience, playing the main roles in famous classical productions.
Once the young actress was seen in one of the productions by the famous English director John Malkovich.
