Semi-oval and curved line
The monkey cannot be made to pose. Of course, a cute monkey, a mischievous macaque and other representatives of the glorious monkey genus can remain motionless for a while, but it is better to portray them in motion. You should start drawing a monkey from the head in stages.
Anywhere on the sheet, draw an arc that looks like an inverted saucepan. Draw a curved line to the arc. The monkey is constantly grimacing, so the bend of the back can be anything. Mark the length of the back on the line. The curve can be continued, and again in any direction, because the long monkey's tail also moves continuously.
It is better to start drawing a sitting monkey with a thick oval. It accommodates the torso, head, bent legs and arms wrapped around the knees.
Muzzle and ears
On the sides of the arc, which is the outline of the upper part of the head, draw 2 equal circles. They should not be too big, otherwise the monkey will turn into a Cheburashka against your wishes. The diameter is not more than the arc itself, but it can be smaller. Draw an oval under the arc so that its long axis starts and ends just below the midpoints of the centers of the circles.

Torso, legs and arms
Draw the boundaries of the torso. To do this, draw another curved line at some distance from the back line. The lines run almost parallel, only slightly diverging towards the bottom. On the back and belly line, mark where the shoulders begin. In a monkey, they are not as wide as in humans, so you can immediately start drawing hands from the marks. Each hand is two parallel curved lines. Remember that a monkey's arms are longer than a man's, up to about the knee, or even lower. You can make bends at the elbows. The hand ends in a five-fingered hand.
Draw the legs in the same way, but they should be thicker and shorter. The hands and feet are rather large. The monkey can hold something - a banana, glasses, or a glass of milkshake. Circle the tail. It is quite thin in the monkey, so you can not draw it additionally, but simply circle it with a soft pencil. At the end of it, you can draw a brush.
Should I paint wool?
The monkey, of course, is covered with normal animal hair, which is best painted in separate strokes. If you use colored pencils, you can do otherwise - first paint over the entire body with an even layer, and then draw short parallel strokes with a darker pencil.
