The actor's childhood passed in the village of Novosemeikino in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Samara region. In the same village Kolchin graduated from secondary school. Dmitry's father is a factory worker, an installer. The mother is a tailor specialist.

According to Dima's recollections, when he was little, every day they went for a walk with friends, including the Volga, and returned after dark and very hungry. On weekends, go fishing with your father, after which his mother would fry the fish he caught.

For the first time, Kolchin got a job at one of the factories, where his duties included crushing defective products, from which an excellent filler for cat litters was obtained.

Received higher education at the Academy of Culture and Arts in the direction of "Library Science and Informatics". In the second year he transferred to the Faculty of State and Municipal Administration.

In addition, Dmitry attended courses in film and television production with the well-known master of his Akopov Alexander Zavenovich.

Participation in KVN

He started playing KVN during his years of study at the university - Dmitry was taken to the student national team "Samara Gorodovoy". This team just lacked someone plump and with a well-developed sense of humor. With a height of 176 cm and a weight of 140 kg, Dima ideally suited the specified requirements. In 2008, Kolchin was invited to the benefit performance of the "YerMI" (Yerevan Medical Institute) team as a scriptwriter of the numbers and a full member of this team.

According to Dmitry, the work of the author of jokes is quite expensive. Writing jokes, numbers and scripts for many teams, he managed to earn up to 40 thousand rubles a day.

The next stage of his career was the creation of his own KVN "SOK" team, in which Dmitry became first the captain, and then the author and director of the team. Under the leadership of the new captain, the team won the KVN Premier League in 2007 on the first attempt. The following year, 2008, this team reached the Major League and took 3rd place in it.

Dmitry achieved the highest success in 2001, when his team became the champion of the Higher League of KVN.

In addition to participating in KVN, Dmitry works as an editor for the Volga and Caspian leagues, and as a leading editor for the South-Western League. Since 2012, he has been an editor-in-chief of the Major League and editor of the First League. Since the same year, SOK disbands its team.

In the history of KVN, the SOK team left a rather noticeable mark. Together with the teams "RUDN University" and "Burnt by the Sun", it ranks first in terms of the number of games played in the Premier League. Also "SOK" managed to win all the leagues in which it took part.

On television for some time he hosted the humorous show "Yesterday Live" (Channel One). The fact is that the contractual terms of KVN with actors categorically prohibit the participation of an actor in more than one project. When it was revealed that Dima was hosting a show on a third-party channel, he had to choose between KVN and Yesterday Live.

In 2016, he completed his participation in KVN and resigned from the post of editor of the Major League, completely switching to work on television. His dismissal was motivated by too strong censorship requirements of the First Channel. Moreover, the demands of the censors in many cases turned out to be more weighty than even the opinion of the leadership of Channel One. They can ban any number at any time or cut out any fragment from it. And Maslyakov is forced to yield to them.

For example, once the channel's management forbade his team to perform with a number in which Viktor Tsoi's song "Wind of Change" sounded. According to the leadership, one of the motives for this song was dissatisfaction with the current government, and this was not allowed in KVN. All numbers in which the president appears or is mentioned in one way or another, with the exception of those where odes of praise are sung to him, have been completely banned. They banned the parody of Guess the Melody, in which Putin repeatedly fails to guess the authors of famous songs.

In 2017, Dmitry starred in a cameo role in the film "New Year's Proportions" as a district police officer.

In 2018, he became the leading and creative producer of the entertainment Weekend Show on STS, Saltykov-Shchedrin Show on NTV, and also starred as the head coach of the Russian national team in the Big Game TV series on STS.

At various times he starred in such TV shows as "ProjectorParisHilton", "Big Races", New Year's "Olivier Show".

Currently, Dmitry continues to write jokes for KVN and comedy programs on TV, scripts for serials, and moonlights as an editor.

Personal life

In 2011, the comedian and captain of the KVN national team registered an official marriage with Larisa Martynova (Kolchina), a designer. Acquaintance with the future wife took place in a tent camp on the banks of one of the Volga islands, where the future husband and wife rested as "savages".

The fact is that Larisa's parents are big fans of camping with tents. And on these trips they constantly took their daughter with them. So Larisa got used to going out into nature for several days from time to time.

The family currently lives in their hometown of Samara. Dmitry, after switching to work on the STS TV channel, settled in Moscow. Periodically, the wife and daughter go to see her husband and father for shooting. But more often Dima himself flies home to Samara.

According to Kolchin, Samara is his favorite city, from which he is not going to leave anywhere. He has his own apartment there, a dacha on the banks of the Volga and even a motor boat for fishing, although he rarely happens on fishing itself. He only travels to Moscow for work.

2012 Dmitry became a father: his daughter Varya was born. Parents say that she has a very wayward and independent character. Varya's favorite hobby is dancing.
