Full screen mode is good when you want to fully immerse yourself in the world of a computer game. But if, in addition to entertaining yourself, you are doing other things, it makes sense to open the toy in the window.
Instructions
Step 1
Quite a few programs, including computer games, are minimized to windowed mode and back using the Alt + Enter hotkeys.
Step 2
If this method does not work, then you can perform some actions with the program shortcut. Find it and right-click on it. Select the "Shortcut" tab. The "Object" field contains the path to the exe-file of the program. Add -window to the end of it. For example, D: GamesValveCounter Strike: Sourcehl.exe -window. Click "Apply" and OK in the lower right corner of the window for the changes to take effect. Now the program will run in windowed mode all the time if you start it using this shortcut. The disadvantage of this method is that even if you remove the "-window" prefix from the above line, the program will still run in windowed mode. To avoid this, replace "-window" with "-full screen".
Step 3
Also, many programs have a special user setting for switching between windowed and full screen modes. In particular, computer games. For example, in Counter Strike 1.6 you need to go to the main menu, click on the "Settings" item, select the "Video" tab and check the box next to the "Run in window" item. And in Team Fortress 2, also go to Settings> Video Tab, and then select Windowed from the Display Mode drop-down menu. One way or another, if a computer game provides a mode for switching to windowed mode, then the functionality for this is, as a rule, in the video or graphics settings.
