The cult computer game, sci-fi first-person shooter Half-Life 2 was revolutionary at the time of release. The physics engine of the game turned out to be so good that it allowed the gameplay to be tied directly to the use of Newtonian laws, without revealing even half of its potential: the Garry's Mod add-on was designed to do this, completely tied to the game with physics.

Instructions
Step 1
Register a Steam account. To do this, download the client of the program from the official website: when you first start it, it will automatically offer you to create your own profile, indicating the postal address and basic information about yourself.
Step 2
Choose how you purchased the game. Use the most popular method - transfer money from your e-wallet to your personal Steam account. However, this is not required: you can pay for the purchase using a Visa or MasterCard credit card by entering the details indicated on the card in the appropriate field.
Step 3
Start the Steam client. Open the "Store" item and click on the search bar. Enter the query "garry" and press Enter - in the list of found items, select the Garry's Mod of the desired version.
Step 4
Double click on the game icon and click the green "Add to cart" button.
Step 5
Confirm your purchase by clicking the "Buy for yourself" button and select a payment method. Once the game is purchased, it will appear in the Library menu.
Step 6
Go to the games library, find Garry's Mod there and right-click on it. In the menu that appears, select "install the game": everything else will be done automatically. It should be noted that the product will be downloaded from the network, and at a low speed it can take quite a long time.
Step 7
Download Garry's Mod from any other source (for example, from internal network resources) if you cannot download the product through Steam. In this case, you will need Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source installed. the game uses materials from these two games.
Step 8
After downloading and installing, you need to purchase the game on Steam, however, instead of "Install the game" you need to "link the game to Steam". The system will check the coincidence of the main files and, possibly, start downloading additional ones - however, these are nothing more than the latest updates.
