This game was developed to train the special forces of the United States of America, but the game has become popular not only among law enforcement agencies, it has spread throughout the world.

Instructions
Step 1
Before starting the game, you need to download the distribution kit, if you do not already have it. This can be done on the website www.counterstrike.ru. After downloading the distribution, run it to install it on your computer.

Before starting the installed game, you need to check the Internet connection if you want to play on the server, or check the local network. To check the Internet connection, it is enough to start the game and try to start the game on the server, as a rule, the installed version of Counter-Strike is already optimized for these purposes.

To test your local network connection, you need to make sure that your computer is in the same workgroup with everyone else. Right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties.
Step 4
In the window that opens, go to the "Computer name" tab and click the "Change" button. In the "Member" box, check the "Working group" item and enter the name. If you don’t know the name of your group, ask your rival in the game if the computer is far from you. Enter the correct group name and click OK twice.
Step 5
After restarting your computer, open the "Control Panel" shortcut located in the "Start" menu and select "Network Connections". Right click on the connection and select Properties.
Step 6
In the window that opens, select the "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)" line and click the "Properties" button. On the General tab, go to the Use the following IP address block. Find out from your opponent his IP and set the same, but with a difference of several units. For example, your opponent has IP 192.168.1.15, you are recommended to set IP 192.168.1.18 or 192.168.1.25.
Step 7
Restart your computer and start the game, you can now play over your local network. Use the Y key to display the chat, and press the K key to chat.
