This is very convenient if several active users live in the same house: they can work simultaneously without interfering with each other. They also have the ability to exchange data, such as movies. To watch a movie online, you need to follow a series of simple steps.
Instructions
Step 1
First, install on both computers that will participate in the process of watching movies, VLC Media Player by downloading it from the official website.
Step 2
Open this player on the computer where the movie is located, go to the main menu "Media" and select the item "Streaming".

To add the desired movie to the playlist, click the "Add" button, and using Windows Explorer, select this movie on the hard disk of your computer.

Now at the bottom of the window select the "Stream" button and go to the next page.

In the next window, click "Next".

A window with a list at the top will open on the screen. Here you need to put the protocols for broadcasting. Click on the HTTP protocol and click "Add".

You will see two text boxes open - "Port" and "Path". No operations should be performed with them. Pay your attention to the drop-down list "Profile", which is located below. Select the Video - MPEG-2 + MPGA (TS) option.

After the performed actions, click on the "Next" button again and proceed to the next step.

Now you should draw a line under all the operations performed by clicking on the "Stream" button with one click.
If you did not make any mistakes when executing all the previous commands, then the message "Streaming" will be displayed in the player window. This means that the public broadcast of your movie is now open, it remains to perform a few actions with the second computer.
Step 10
So, on the second computer from which you plan to watch the movie over the network, also open VLC Media Player.
Step 11
Go to the main menu "Media" and select "Open URL".
Step 12
In the window that appears with a single text field, paste the IP address of the computer from which you are broadcasting after the https:// inscription.
Step 13
Click the "Play" button and enjoy watching the movie over the network.
