The pillow can be purchased in a store or sewn on your own, they come in different shapes: U, G, I-shaped. The best pregnancy pillow is U-shaped. It is sewn quite easily, you will need fabric for the pillowcase and cover, filler, zipper, 50-60 cm long. For the pillowcase, you can take old bedding, for the cover natural fabrics are suitable - silk, cotton. The amount of material depends on the size of the pillow - the width and length are chosen based on their own growth. Standard sizes of a pillow for pregnant women, shaped "U": 340x35; 280x35, 190x30; 170x30 cm, but you can sew a pillow in the size that you consider the most optimal for yourself.

Sewing any thing begins with creating a pattern, a pillow for pregnant women is no exception. Take graph paper (you can use a white Whatman paper) and draw a vertical line equal to the height of the pillow. Draw horizontal lines at the top and bottom. On the upper horizontal, set aside 40 cm to the right, lower the vertical from this point down, until it intersects with the lower line. On the first vertical line, set aside 30 cm down, from this mark to the right set aside 10 cm and draw a line down through this point. Round the top and bottom corners. The maternity pillow pattern is ready, take the scissors and cut it out.

First fold the fabric for the bedclothes in half along the weft (transverse thread), then bend along the longitudinal line, you get a piece of fabric in four folds. Attach the pattern with the short side to the fold and circle it with chalk, stepping back one centimeter from the outline (seam allowance) and cut out the details. Open the cover in the same way. Next, sew the cut out parts, leaving a 10-15 cm hole in the pillow case. Turn the product out, fill the maternity pillow with filler and sew up the hole. Sew the lock to the cover along the top edge, then sew the details. It is advisable to overlay the product along the edge so that it does not fray during washing.
