Today, dysplasia of the hip joints is the most common diagnosis associated with damage to the musculoskeletal system, which is given to newborns. Depending on the severity of the disease, the baby is prescribed a special treatment, which in most cases, in addition to taking medications, involves the use of a Freik pillow.

It is necessary

  • - centimeter;
  • - paper;
  • - ruler;
  • - a pen;
  • - scissors;
  • - buttons;
  • - a piece of chalk;
  • - cartouche;
  • - soft natural fabric;
  • - threads;
  • - sewing machine;
  • - selection;
  • - a needle.

Instructions

Step 1

Take measurements from the baby. The first thing to measure is the distance from the "nipple line" to the middle of the perineum (conventionally designate this value - size A). Then measure the distance from the popliteal fossa of the left leg (through the perineum) to the popliteal fossa of the right leg (call this dimension B). In order to avoid confusion with sizes and not to make mistakes when constructing a pattern, fix the data on a sheet of paper.

Step 2

Build a pattern. Draw a rectangle on paper, one side of which will be equal to size A, and the other - twice the size of B. Cut out two straps with loops: the length of each strap should be such that you can wrap the baby and catch the button without stretching (in other words, the strap should not squeeze the crumb too much). Cut out the cut elements.

Step 3

Attach the pattern to the fabric and circle it with chalk (this should be done twice, since two identical elements are needed to sew Frejk's pillow). Cut out the details and lay them one on top of the other. Sew the elements along the perimeter, and in the central part of the pad, place eight to ten layers of a collar and fix it, stitching through every centimeter. The result is a dense "working part" of the pillow, which is placed between the baby's thighs and fixed in a motionless position. Make the edges of the pad soft: these parts will be in contact with the back and tummy of the baby. In view of this, if they are hard, the baby will feel discomfort.

Step 4

Sew on the straps from the back and sew on the buttons on the front of the pad.
