All that is needed for this is a few simple skills in mastering editing programs, a sense of rhythm, taste, a desire to create something that will impress other people. Let's say you want to edit a video downloaded from the Internet - combine fragments from your favorite movie into a full-fledged clip. Let's get to work.

Step 1
Make sure the video format is supported by the editing system you choose. The most common are DV AV, mpeg, mov, etc. Find out if the video editor you have selected supports your video format. You may need to purchase a version of the program that targets your format. Or convert to video in the desired format using special converters.
Step 2
Use any of the following programs to convert videos from one format to another: Canopus Procoder, Nero Vision, Adobe Encoder, etc. Let's remind that the most common format supported by a large number of video editors is mpeg2.
Step 3
Load the video into the editing software. Let's take a look at the steps for Adobe Premier Pro as an example. Run the program. Import the video into the created project (File, Import, Video). Show the program the path where the video is on your computer, click the Open button. The program will automatically place the video in the Project window.
Step 4
Move the video to the Timeline. Import music into the project (in the same way as you imported the video). Build a sequence of videos on the Timeline with music in mind. Use the editing tools to the right of the Timeline window Use the razor tool to cut the original video file in the Video track.
Step 5
"Export" the created sequence from the project by pressing the following keys - File, Export, Movie. Make sure that the DV PAL format is specified in the export settings, for sound - 48000Hz. Use the gray parenthesis above the Timeline to set the “Stage” you want to export.
