Instructions
Step 1
Measure the circumference of your head and the distance from the middle of your forehead to the crown of your head. The hat is knitted with an English elastic band. For a sample, cast an odd number of loops on the knitting needles.
1 row - 1 front, 1 yarn, remove 1 loop without knitting. The thread is behind the loop
Row 2 - 1 yarn over, remove 1 loop without knitting, knit the removed loop and yarn of the previous row together with the front one.
3rd row - knit the removed loop and yarn of the previous row together with the front one, 1 yarn, remove 1 loop.
Alternate the second and third rows.
After tying the sample, calculate the number of loops.
Step 2
Cast on the desired number of stitches on the circular needles. Knit 6-8 cm with English elastic. Determine the front and back sides. Knit one row with front loops, knitting together the lowered loop and yarn of the last row and yarn and without making yarns in the new row. On the seamy side, there should be a seamy row - this is the fold line of the lapel.
Step 3
Start again with the English elastic and knit a cloth equal in length to the distance from the middle of the forehead to the crown of the head.
On the front side, knit a row of front loops, knitting the yarn over and the removed loop from the previous row together with the front one, the front side - according to the pattern, do not do the yarn over again.
Turn the work over and knit a row with purl, without subtracting the loops.
Step 4
Turn the work over again and decrease the loops according to the scheme: 1 front, 2 together front. Purl the next row.
Break off the thread, thread it into a thick needle. Pull the thread through the loops, starting with the first one, tighten and secure to the wrong side of the loop.
Sew a hat. Fold up the lapel.
