A homemade belt can complement a self-knitted model of clothing or become an independent accessory that will add originality to your look. Practical and elegant things can be done quite quickly and without much difficulty. The main thing is to decide in advance on the appearance of the future product. For example, you can knit a belt in the form of a wide patterned strip, a tight bundle, a closed or open thin strip. It is important that the accessory blends into the overall style of your outfit.
It is necessary

- - yarn;
- - two double-edged needles;
- - tape or strip of fabric;
- - centimeter;
- - scissors;
- - threads;
- - needle;
- - iron;
- - rubber;
- - buckle.
Instructions
Step 1
Tie a belt of the required width in the form of a strip with double-sided front loops. To begin with, it is recommended to make a sample of the work by typing a dozen loops on straight knitting needles.
Step 2
Start knitting the belt from the front loop. Then continue to perform the front every second loop. In this case, the purl loops (located between the two front loops) must be removed untied. The working thread should always be in front of the purl loop to be removed.
Step 3
Please note that the first loop on each knitting needle must certainly be the front loop. The last in the row will, on the contrary, be the purl loop.
Step 4
After tying the product of the required length, close the loops of the last row.
Step 5
Try an open (hollow) knit belt. Divide the initially set number of loops into two equal parts and distribute over a pair of identical knitting needles. Place the knitting needles parallel to one another.
Step 6
Take the third (working) knitting needle and knit the initial knitting needle with one of the non-working knitting needles.
Step 7
Remove the purl loop from the other non-working knitting needle. Continue to double knit pattern.
Step 8
Use a pair of double-edged knitting needles to work on the thin harness. First you need to cast on a couple of loops on one knitting needle and knit them as knit stitches.
Step 9
Bring the knitted stitches to the beginning of the row and pull the thread from left to right and back.
Step 10
Follow the facial and follow the pattern until you have the desired length of the flagellum.
Step 11
It is best to knit a patterned wide belt with a large relief, the elements of which are located vertically. When the finished product is straightened at your waist, the pattern will lie horizontally. Large geometric shapes look good on such an accessory - rhombuses, ovals, squares, waves, etc. Having decided on the pattern, the required model width and knitting density, dial the loops.
Step 12
Tie the belt with any embossed pattern and close the loops of the last row. Use a backing tape or strip of fabric in the appropriate color to help shape the garment and cover the wrong side of the garment.
Step 13
Cut the lining to the size of the knitted belt and add 1 cm allowances on all sides. Fold them inward and iron. All you have to do is sew the tape from the inside of the belt with a blind stitch and insert a decorative buckle from a sewing accessories store.
It is recommended to knit a belt in the form of an open strip for subsequent threading of an elastic band. In the same way, you can make straps for a sundress or top.
