Today, original jewelry and accessories made with their own hands are becoming more and more fashionable. Such things keep the individuality of their master, make your appearance unique and inimitable, because if a thing is created in a single copy, other people will not have its analogues, which means its value increases significantly.
Instructions
Step 1
You can create a simple yet eye-catching pant or sundress belt using the textile weaving technique. Prepare a nice closed buckle with a horizontal bar on the back. On this crossbar, you will attach the textile strips.
Step 2
Separately prepare the strips for weaving - it can be either just a fabric cut into strips, or a ready-made braid. You will need four strips of small thickness, each of which should be folded in half and be at least two meters long.
Step 3
Weaving from stripes of different colors, for example, alternating black and white, will look spectacular. Secure the double strips with a grasping knot on the crossbar of the belt plate so that 8 strips hang from the crossbar.
Step 4
Start weaving a simple checkerboard pattern: place the two middle stripes above the previous stripes, and then below the subsequent ones. Continue braiding until the checkerboard pattern comes through more clearly. The weave is loose at this point, so start tightening the strips of fabric to keep the pattern tight and neat.
Step 5
The rigidity of the finished belt depends on how smoothly you will intertwine the strips, as well as on how much you tighten them, which means its beauty and comfort. Weave the strips until you get the belt you want.
Step 6
Cut off the unnecessary part with scissors and fix it by firmly sewing to the second part of the purchased belt buckle.
