The word "quiz" was invented by the famous Soviet writer Mikhail Koltsov for a newspaper collection of charades, puzzles and questions. This column was led by a friend of Koltsov named Victor. Nowadays, quizzes are called intellectual games in which it is necessary to give answers to questions from various fields of knowledge. School quizzes are very popular, which teach entertainingly, so it is very important to visualize them.

School quizzes pursue the goal of more thoroughly acquainting students with a topic, teaching them to work with additional information, checking knowledge and how well the children have mastered the material covered. The quiz can focus on the life and work of a famous writer, musician, artist, scientific views and works of a great scientist, or any of the recently studied topics.
Step 2
Preparation for the quiz begins ahead of time. The library should select books and literature about the desired author, as well as newspaper and magazine publications that will help students prepare for the event.
Step 3
Have a small book exhibition in your class. Place quiz literature on shelves. Books should be freely available to children.
Step 4
In advance, invite schoolchildren to draw illustrations for the works of the writer, whose work the quiz is devoted to. And have an opening day of student work in the classroom. You can arrange a thematic wall newspaper with children.
Step 5
The design of the quiz should be creative. For example, for a quiz dedicated to Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky, make a "miracle tree" out of Whatman paper and cardboard, place it between the shelves with the writer's books. From colored paper, cut out the leaves on which you write the quiz questions and attach them to the branches of the tree.

With interest, the students will solve the crossword quiz, which is colorfully drawn up on a large sheet of Whatman paper. Children can find answers to crossword puzzles in the books presented at the exhibition.
