After assembling a puzzle, many of us simply disassemble it in order to do what we love again in the future. At the same time, a puzzle made up of many pieces, bright and high quality, can decorate any interior.
Instructions
Step 1
Gluing the puzzle should be approached very responsibly. The first step is to carefully turn the puzzle face down. It is good if you assembled the puzzle on an easily movable surface (fiberboard, puzzle table). Then you just have to cover your masterpiece with the same piece of fiberboard, for example, and turn it over. If the puzzle is large, the edges of the slabs can be tied with tape or fastened with clamps.
Step 2
If the puzzle has been assembled on a table, you can gently move it to a moving surface, gradually moving it. Too large a puzzle that does not fit on the table, and therefore was assembled on the floor, can only be turned over in parts or go to the next stage.
Step 3
A puzzle that cannot be turned over can be glued right on the front side with tape or glue. Before you start applying them, clean the surface of the future painting from dust, hair and wool. If possible, it is better to put something under the puzzle, such as polyethylene, as the glue can leak through the gaps between the pieces.
Step 4
To glue the puzzle, you will need a brush, PVA glue, rag or sponge. The adhesive should be applied in a thick layer to the front or back surface so that it is well absorbed into the seams. If you are gluing a puzzle on the front side, you do not need to be intimidated by white stains, they will turn into a transparent film in a couple of hours. On the reverse side of the puzzle, glue is applied to attach the picture to the base: cardboard or fabric.
Step 5
There is also a special puzzle glue that allows you to easily and firmly glue the finished picture. It is better to apply such glue to the front side of the puzzle with a small spatula so that it is evenly distributed over the surface and absorbed into the seams. However, this glue requires reinforcing the surface of the puzzle on the other side if it does not fit into the frame.
Step 6
The easiest way to glue the back of a puzzle, whether reinforced with glue or not, is with tape. To do this, you need to overlap it, first along and then across the picture. Trim off excess tape around the edges.
Step 7
An excellent option for fixing a puzzle is a self-adhesive film ("self-adhesive"). To do this, turn the puzzle face down, and then cut a piece of film half a centimeter shorter than the puzzle. After that, you need to glue one edge of the film and, carefully tearing off the paper from it, move on. It is better to do this with an assistant: one separates the paper, the second smoothes the film.
