The pendant can be made from a large bead, complementing it with a beaded cord of a suitable color. This technique allows you to make jewelry of different shapes and sizes by combining several beads under one braid.
It is necessary
- - bead;
- - beads;
- - threads;
- - thin needles;
- - wax.
Instructions
Step 1
Make a tourniquet to form the braid of the bead. To do this, string seven beads on a nylon thread rubbed with wax and close the row by passing a needle through the first bead. Weave the second row by stringing one bead on a needle and passing it through the third, fifth and seventh beads.
Step 2
Pull off the working thread slightly, put another bead on it and pull the needle through the first bead of the second row. By this time, you can stop counting, since the beads into which you need to thread a needle when weaving the next row will be noticeably higher than the rest. Continuing to string the beads in a circle, make a rope of such length so that a double circle is formed from it, in the center of which there will be room for a decorative bead.
Step 3
Secure the working thread on the last row of the cord and thread the needle through the bead. Laying the workpiece on a flat surface, wrap the end of the bead braid around the bead and sew on the cord by passing the needle through the bead and both rows of the braid several times. For greater strength, you can sew the rows of the braid together along the entire circumference.
Step 4
You can attach a loop to the resulting pendant for threading a cord or chain. Cut off the new working thread and thread both ends into the needles. Pass the thread through the bead in the center of the upper part of the braid and string it on both needles along the bead. Take another bead and thread it crosswise. In this way, weave a short chain, fold it in half and fix the end in the same bead with which weaving began, or, if the number of threads threaded through it does not allow this, fasten the end of the loop on the adjacent bead.
Step 5
Instead of a loop, a chain can be woven to the pendant using the same technique. The length of the beaded strip should be long enough to put the pendant around your neck. Having fixed the end on the braid of the pendant, pass both needles through all the beads from which the chain is woven in the reverse order. This will give the product extra strength.
Step 6
The pendant can be assembled from several beads, braided with a plait. To do this, lay out the blanks on the table and sew the edges of their braids together as they will be located in the finished product. Weave another string and make a common edge for the entire pendant out of it.
