A knitted shirt front is a great alternative to a scarf. The baby product can be knitted and crocheted. This handy thing is very helpful in windy frosty weather, when not even a scarf can save you.
Instructions
Step 1
The dicky knits quite simply. Even beginner knitters can handle this work. You will need a little thread for it - 100-150 grams of woolen yarn of medium thickness. Cast on 64 loops on the needles and knit, distributing them on four stocking needles. Start with a 2 * 2 elastic and continue until you have 14 cm of canvas.
Step 2
Next, add loops as follows: * 1 out. p., knit 2 loops from the broach, 1 out. p. * Repeat additions to the end of the row. Continue knitting in a circle with the purl stitches remaining. Knit the two added loops with the front loops, crossing them together - you will get a pigtail. Perform increments in every fifth row. Knit the added loops with the front ones, at the beginning and at the end of each sector.
Step 3
Continue to knit 26 rows, and when there are many stitches, switch to circular needles. Try on the bib on the child, if its width is sufficient, close the loops. If the shirt-front is for a girl, decorate it with beads, tie the edge of the product with a fringe. You can leave the boy's shirt as it is, or embroider a suitable pattern.
Step 4
Try crocheting a baby bib. Start with a set of loops.
Cast on a row of stitches, then crochet. The third row is a raised double crochet, you can alternate convex and concave - it will look like an elastic band knitted.
Step 5
In order to complete the front embossed column, insert the hook behind the wall of the column of the previous row. Purl the embossed column as follows: insert the hook under the loop of the previous row, pull the thread from behind the bottom wall of the loop.
Step 6
If, in the process of knitting this part of the product, choose threads of a different color, you will get a striped elastic. Knit without adding until you reach the desired height. As you work, try on knitting around the child's neck.
Step 7
Next, knit with increments, adding 10-15 loops. Then gradually change the hooks - take one size larger every 3-5 rows. You can knit the main part with regular single crochets, or with a pattern. Tie the last row with a crustacean step. Prepare buttonholes on one side of the garment. Try them on to the size of the existing buttons, teach that they will stretch out a little after washing.
